I have ran into a small problem with Collecting Shells. I shouldn't have used tan fabric! I noticed this when I was
stitching with DMC 738 for the sand on the right side of the pattern. Oh well, it is a minor problem that can be adjusted some way I just have not figured it out...lol.

It looks great :)
What is the problem?? Sand blending in with the fabric???
Don't get frustrated!

Hmmm.. how about adding a little bit of pearl blending filament to the 738? That way your sand will be sparkling in the sun?? Or your could combine 738 with another color and make a blended needle.... or leave it be.... it still looks great! I love watching this adorable piece grow here!

I realized that I probably shouldn't have used white fabric for my tea cup sampler, too. Carol's suggestion to use blending filament is a good one, though I know I hate working with it!

What a sweet design! How about counting over to the edge of the sand area and backstitching in a slightly darker or lighter color, then just fill in? That's my 2 cents. The design is precious and no matter what you decide to do, it will be lovely.
