Not My Day

I should have known the day wasn't going to go well for me when I sat down to stitch on Too Cute this morning. I pulled out the fabric and grabbed my 4 inch hoop and proceeded to put the hoop on the fabric. As I was tightening my hoop I suddenly felt the nut spin fast. Crap! The nut was stripped and of course I don't have a spare 4 inch hoop. I did have a 5 inch hoop so all was not lost for the day. So I settled in and got ready to stitch and then when I was looking/admiring I saw a mistake. Ugghhh!! It was only off by 1 stitch but I could see it so it had to come out. So I fixed that and then I noticed I back stitched it in the wrong color! After saying some colorful adjectives I ripped out all the back stitching I had done and fixed it, too. I did manage to get about an hour of peaceful stitching before it was time to put her away for another week. :)

Of course, since I use a 4 inch hoop when I stitch ornament this means I can't work on the babybug until I get a new one. Ugghh. I don't know if I will start the new design tomorrow or not. I should work on QS Fairy Tales but my eyes could use a break from over one stitching. I'll decide tomorrow that is if I get some stitching time.

Have a great evening!

Off by 1 : I hate that ... It happens to me sometimes and I rip it off as well because after that, I only see my mistake ;-)

The little candy corns under her feet are so cute.

I have had stitching days where it feels like I take more out than I put in. I HATE days like that.

Ugh, sounds like you were jinxed yesterday. At least you got some stitching in at the end of it.

Aww, for such a cute little witch, she sure caused a lot of aggravation! lol I've done 2 one over one projects and I can tell you right now, it'll be a while before I do another. The stitches look so dainty and neat, but you're right, it's hard on the eyes.

Your little witch is gorgeous, even if she's not playing nice! ;) BTW I have a whole bunch of hoops here from when I was doing a lot of stumpwork for a while ... I'd be more than happy to send you a couple, if you'd like them - I tend to use Qsnaps for pretty much everything these days, and don't use my hoops at all ... would rather they go to someone who'd get some use out of them before they seize up! Anyway, drop me a line with your address if you'd like them :) (shakatak @ iinet . net . au) - just take the spaces out :D
