Border Done

It is going to be a long day and it's not even 9 AM yet! We are in for more storms that may produce "strong winds and hail" today and tonight.

At least I don't have to worry about driving in the rain today. Mike did a quick look at the car and confirmed one of the motor mounts broke. Yep, my car is staying put for a few days. At least it is a semi easy fix which Mike can do himself but he won't be able to get to it until Sunday on his day off. That is if it isn't raining!

I was able to finish the back stitching on ES last night and I even got the Eye of Ra stitched. This is one pattern I could work on everyday but since it is a TW pattern it is best I put it back into the pile on a good note.:) I'm sorry the picture is a little dark...storms have a tendency to make things dark. The last progress picture is actually the best picture of the colors...it was taken outside.

I have been feeling kind of restless when it comes to doing my stitching lately. I actually want to so some crocheting and sewing for the baby but until we know the sex of the baby that is kind of put on hold temporarily. Another thing I want to try is making a baby quilt. If anyone knows of a real easy pattern for one please let me know. :)

I'm off to try and find something to keep my hands and mind occupied during this current round of storms!

Have a wonderful day!

That looks great. Wonderful stitching. Sorry about your car, hope you get it fixed soon. And I can't offer up any patterns, the only sewing I can do is cross stitching. LOL. Hope you have a great week.

ES looks wonderful! Too bad your car won't get fixed until the weekend but at least your hubby can do the repairs!

Sorry about the car trouble, but good news that your DH will be able to fix it himself.

I think the storms completely missed us here in the Dallas area. I like a good thunderstorm so I was a little disappointed, LOL!

I hope the storms pass you by. One scare is plenty this week.

ES is looking great!

My one and only quilt was one I designed myself for my nephew's first child.

http://threadsofdesire.blogspot.com/2007/02/my-first-quilt.html

It is very soft, not heavily quilted (just tied down) and very washable. It's just 20 6 inch squares (only five pieced). It could be a lot bigger, but I was thinking "take everywhere coverup" rather than "yards of heavy quilting". So my main suggestions are use flannel, back with Minky fabric and tie down, don't really quilt.

Great work, Dawn! ES is looking fabulous!

I don't know what kind of quilt you are looking for. Kathryn's looks great!

If you are looking for a crochet pattern, I use

Not all the links work, but most of them do. If you are looking for something specific for crochet, chances are you will find it here.

Great work on ES! I'm glad to hear that the car problem can be fixed by Mike; that should help a bit, even if he can't get to it for a few days. Hopefully, the storm blew threw your area without incident.
