Long Morning

It's been a long morning already. Allie has a choir festival today so I had to have her up at the school ready to leave at 4:15 AM. After they get done singing they are going to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson Missouri. They won't get back until around 8:00 PM tonight so they should have lots of fun.

I finished up the last blogoversary gift yesterday and I was pleased with how it came out so now all 3 are waiting to be dropped in the mail. I thought I was going to be able to mail them out yesterday afternoon but when I went looking for mailing envelopes I couldn't find any!

I also worked some more on Unicorn by Mary Bartlett Stockett. I really, really like this one.:) As you know I have a "thing" for fantasy themed designs but I have to admit I love unicorns. My last unicorn finish was in 2006 so it was time for a new one:)

I am planning on working on Egyptian Sampler today. I have to go to the grocery store at some point today but other than that I am not doing anything!

Your unicorn looks good. You're smart to do the back stitching as you go ;)

Your unicorn looks great! Forgive my ignorance, but is the fabric you're working on sparkly?

We live in St. Louis. I've never been to Branson but I see a lot of ads on TV for it - especially Silver Dollar City

Hi Dawn,
Great start on your unicorn. Love the fabric. Isn't it fabulous to stitch on?

Hope Allie and her choir had a wonderful time.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

That is an early start to the day. Your unicorn is looking great, I too love magnolia flowers and a magnolia tree was the first tree we planted when we built our house 8 years ago.

I love unicorns too, and have a few floating around in my stash. I love your choice of purple fabric, it's perfect.
