This is a project that has a special meaning for me. I started this project 3 years ago when my best friend(referred to as R.) told me she was getting married. Since I was making this for R. I was taking my time not to mess up. It took me about 6 months to finish the complete stitching. When I had the project R. had just moved to Germany with her new husband. I plan on giving it to her the next time we visit each other. My friend is a cross stitcher so I know she will appreciate it.
This was a hard project for me. It used a lot of the metallic floss. I love how it makes the piece stand out. It was done on 14 count oatmeal aida cloth. It's finished size is 15 1/2 inches wide and 20 inches tall.
