A New SAL

Today was another lazy day inside because it rained most of the day here. Myself, I like the rain but when it keeps the kids cooped up in the house it gets a little crazy because I keep hearing the same "I'm bored....there isn't anything to do." I threatened my kids with the next one that came up to me and said that to me they were going to change Megan's next dirty diaper....amazingly that quieted them down....LOL.

As I have said before rainy days (or really cold days) are good stitching days for me which worked out really well because Renee and I started our next SAL today. We are stitching Too Cute to Spook from the August 2008 Stoney Creek magazine. I think she will make a good companion for Harvest Witch.

I am stitching her on 28 count Cashel Linen called Violet Mist. This one uses the glow in the dark Kreinik threads (if you ask me it is more like stitching with fishing lines!).

The other night I was flipping through some of my old cross stitch magazine when I came across this pretty girl. I think she will look good next to VCE when it is finished. It is called Gentle Encounter from the Nov/Dec 1991 issue of Stoney Creek magazine. Guess you can't tell I love the Stoney Creek magazines...lol.

Kim B. asked me how I can get so much stitching done with having a little one around the house and the answer to that is my sweet husband. He knows that stitching helps me relax so he tends to take over taking care of Megan after dinner so I can stitch a few hours before it is time for me to give her a bath (he is scared to give her a bath until she can sit up by herself). She generally sleeps from about 9-9:30 PM until 7 AM. After she falls asleep I can resume stitching for a little while before it is time for me to go to sleep.

That pretty much sums up my day today. :) I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Rainy days and children are not a good combination. I hope that your Dad is doing what he is told to. Your VCE is looking great, great progress.

Too Cute to Spook is darling!!

Your hubby sounds like an amazing man! I'm going to let mine know about this system you have! Does Megan sleep straight through in her own crib in her own room? Sarah is in our room and she sleeps from about 11/11:30pm to 6:30am. But she's not even 3 months old yet.

I love witches and this one is way too cute.
I would be really quiet too if I had to change my sisters diaper, lol, too funny!
