From Baby to Toddler

Yesterday I watched my baby emerge from baby to a toddler. :) Little Megan took her very first steps unassisted! Unfortunately I did not even have my camera ready for it. :( Mike was putting his shoes on to leave for work and Megan started fussing (she knows putting on shoes means going someone is leaving) and I looked at her and told her to walk on over to daddy......and she did! I am not sure who was more surprised us or Megan. LOL. By the end of the evening she was taking 2 steps before falling down. We are so in for it now!

My butt fell asleep again tonight sitting on the bleachers cheering for Krissy and her team. JV lost but Varsity kicked butt! It looks like the 2nd week in October will probably be the last of the games. Whew....at least I will get a little break before Track seasons starts.

I didn't get to stitch any today but I did finish these 2 pieces this week.

More Ornaments

It is a good thing I really don't rely on what the weather forecaster predict otherwise I would never be dressed right! Contrary to what they predicted last night, it was a hot and sunny day here. I was able to stitch a little in the morning and little this evening. As you can tell I am whittling my WTF pile down. All I have left to finish is 2 more ornaments and, of course, my stocking but that has to wait a little longer till Christmas fabric come out. :)

This even was Mac's open house for school. Let me tell you, even I am a little scared of his teacher! I'm not talking mean wise but as in strictness. I have a sinking feeling we will get to know this teacher too well. I wonder exactly how many gray hairs I will get this school year?!

Enjoy your evening!

Let it Snow

Megan is napping so I was able to take a picture of the ornament I just finished. Now it gets to join the other 6 ornaments waiting to be finished. Which reminds me I really need to make a DMC run so I can get busy and finish all of them!

A Couple of Finishes

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately but every time I sit down to blog my mind goes blank. Main reason for that is right now it seems like my cross stitching is non existent. I did have a small finish last week.

I had planned on having a finishing weekend but we were busier than I thought so I only ended up finishing one ornament. I still have 7 more to go to finish into ornaments! I finished the stitching on this one last year sometime.

A Finish and Progress

I noticed today that I hadn't posted a picture of this little finish I did last month. It is the same pattern (Peony by CCN) that I used in Mylene's birthday gift except that I finished this one into a needleroll. I was satisfied on how it turned out considering this was the second time (for me) finish with a lining for the needleroll. I still need practice on that particular way of finishing!

Now for a progress pic on Topaz. :) I was working at a nice pace yesterday until I ran out of DMC 3350. I think I will work on filling in the rest of the flower tonight. :)

I'm slowly making my way through my blog feeds. It's amazing how fast they pile up when you aren't paying attention! Be assured even if I am not commenting a lot I am reading your blogs. :)

Have a great weekend!

Peony

I heard from Mylene that she has opened her birthday package I sent to her. I stitched "Peony" from Country Cottage Needleworks. I used the Crescent Colors that came with the pattern so my only problem was remembering to complete a full stitch before moving on to the next one. Mylene, I hope you enjoyed everything I sent you. :)

I did stitch today but I don't have any pictures to show today. I decided to stitch the freebies from Pam Kellogg called "The Millennium Cats". I am not sure how I will finish them yet but I am sure I will think of something.

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!
