Gift From Hazel

I didn't work on any stitching last night because when Mac got home from school he wasn't feeling good. He had started a small cough the night before and now he was complaining his head hurt and he was running a small fever. I gave him some medicine for his head and he laid down in bed with a cold washcloth over his forehead and pretty much went to sleep for the night. This morning he was still running a fever so I kept him home from school. He didn't object to it either and went right back to sleep! He finally woke up a little bit ago and decided he was hungry so this is a good sign.
Anyways, I do have something stitchey related to show. :) Hazel had a drawing for some of her beautiful fobs and I was one of the lucky winners. My picture doesn't show the sparkly threads she used. It is really beautiful! Even hubby thought so and tried to steal it from me! Thank you so much, Hazel! You are such a sweet person. :)

I am not sure if I will work on any stitching today as I have been wanting to pull out some yarn and crochet something. I got a bunch of yarn leftover from MIL when she passed and I have been wanting to do something with it. I'm not sure what I am going to crochet yet, I still need to see what colors I have but I'm sure I will find something.

Have a nice weekend!

I hope Mac is feeling better soon, it is hard having your kids sick :( Like you said, if he wants to eat that is a good sign.

Cute fob! It's very pretty.

Hello Dawn! I read your blog almost every day, but I've never left a comment before (and I have no idea why!) I am also a 30+ stay-at-home mom to 3 kids--oldest daughter followed by 2 sons. I love your stitching, and am impressed by how much you get finished! I just started crocheting my daughter an afghan (I also xstitch and knit). She picked out celery green/chocolate brown/aqua--very retro, so I'm doing granny squares :) The last afghan I crocheted was for youngest 2 yrs ago. I still have to make one for middle, probably 2 yrs from now--then they'll all have a 'grown-up' afghan!!! Can't wait to see what you start!!

The extra sleep is always good for an ailing child - or anyone! :D And the return of the appetite surely means Mac is feeling better. Hope by Monday he's right as rain!
