More Finishes

I stitched this small fob up quickly. I have stitched this one many times.....it's just so fun and quick to do.:) I whip stitched the fob together but instead of using poly-fill to fill it I used some rice. The rice gave it just enough weight so now when I lay it on an arm of a chair it doesn't fall off. I wouldn't use rice to fill a larger fob as it probably would be too much weight .

As we all know, I have a weakness for dragons especially cute ones which means I couldn't resist this cute guy.
Kindness is the Greatest Gift

Krissy and Mac started their new schools today. Mac seems to like his class and all Krissy could say was there was only 3 cute boys in the whole entire school but she did say it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. I give her a week and I bet there are more than just 3 cute guys in the school!
Today Megan turned 6 months old! I swear it was just a few days ago we brought her home. In those 6 months she has grown over 9 inches and gained 12 pounds. We were extremely blessed because she hasn't had any problems arise from being born so early. I wanted to post a picture of her today but she still wasn't feeling the best and wasn't being very photogenic today. She isn't running a fever but she is being clingy. If you have to walk away from her she gets upset and starts crying which in turn causes her to throw up. Nice chain reaction.
As you probably guessed no stitching for me today but I did pull out my stitching notebook and make a list of goodies I need to see if I can find at the LNS. I am hoping to be able to venture out that way sometime tomorrow. I'm not going to hold my breath because I might just decide to stay indoors and stitch instead. :)
Have a great weekend & Happy Stitching to All!

Fob Finishes

Where did the day go? I spent most of it in the Principal's office signing tons of paperwork for Mac and Krissy to be enrolled in school. I ended up with writer's cramp but it was worth it. All three will be going to school tomorrow....whoo-hoo!

Allie did start her classes today. Apparently she had a pretty good day because she asked me to drop her off a few minutes early so she could talk with some of her new classmates. I am very relieved it went well for her. I just hope Krissy and Mac's day tomorrow goes as smoothly for them.

Here are a designs from Lizzie*Kate that I whipped up into fobs. Both are stitched one over one....I have been on an over one kick lately.

I still didn't get to my needle tonight. *sigh* At some point I know this craziness will settle down but can't it happen quicker? Megan starting not feeling well around 6 pm tonight. She woke up from a nap cranky and that is not her normal thing. She kept insisting she was hungry even though I knew she wasn't. Even the magic "Mama Blankie" wasn't soothing her so I gave in and let her have a small bottle. It came right back up.....all over me. She finally calmed down for a little bit and then I heard the problem...grunting. I gave her a few minutes to finish her job and went to change and to my horror she blew out the diaper and her clothes. It was one you didn't mess around with trying to change with wipes. She went straight into the tub which didn't make her happy at all. However, she does like it when I put her lotion on so she managed to get into a better mood. She is sleeping contently right now so hopefully she won't wake up cranky in the morning.

Speaking of cranky, that is what I will be tomorrow if I don't head off to bed soon. I hope everyone had a wonderful day and Happy Stitching to all. :)

Progress Pictures & A Gift

Thank you for all of your comments on my last post. :) I know it was a little surprise to find out that we had moved (again!) but we had been thinking about it for a long time. Originally we moved to Arkansas to be closer to Mike's family but as I predicted his family snubbed us after Mike's mom passed away. It became quite clear after the loss of Morgan and Megan's arrival that nobody gave a crap about us because even after telling them the news they NEVER bothered to call, email, or even attempt to stop by and see Megan. They also weren't concerned about Mac and his surgeries even after he had a seizure on the operating table. After that I/we decided that we would rather be around family that actually cared about us. As far as I am concerned it is their loss and not mine. Believe me, I won't lose sleep over it.

As I promised here are some more WIP's that I am working on. This one is Fairy Roses by Mirabilia. I am at a stopping point on this one as I need to buy the Kreiniks and beads. I have found a couple of new LNS here in Omaha but I haven't had the time to go and see what they have.
I also started Fairy Tales from Heaven and Earth Designs. This one is a freebie located here. I am stitching this with 2 threads over 1 on 25 count fabric. So far it has been pretty pleasant to stitch.

Now, this next picture, is a gift to Megan from Shel. I don't know who loves it more Megan or me! I think it is a beautiful pillow and Megan is totally fascinated with the design. She also sent Megan a couple of outfits and some onesis which were so cute. I can't thank you enough, Shel!! Thank you! :)

I still didn't get to pick up my needle today as I spent most of it trying to get the kids enrolled in school. Allie gets to start class tomorrow but it looks like Krissy and Mac won't start till Friday. I am ready for them to start now...lol. Actually they have been wonderful with the move. They haven't complained too much. :) That doesn't mean that they haven't complained. Remember the girls are teenagers! LOL
Well, it is time for Megan's bath....a chore she isn't exactly too fond of yet. I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.
Happy Stitching!

Moving Chaos

I am sorry for my absence from the blogging but things have been beyond crazy for me. The main cause of the craziness is we moved to Nebraska. My family is here so this is a very positive move for us. My mom didn't get to enjoy the older three kids when they were little but now she gets to enjoy being around teenagers and a baby.

Even with all the chaos I did still manage to do some stitching. :) These finishes were done before the move. I haven't touched a needle in almost 3 weeks but at least I have located my stitching stuff so hopefully I can get to stitching soon.

Quilt for Allie

I have some more finishes and some WIP's to show but I will save that for another post.

I can't end this post without a picture of Megan. She is doing extremely great! She weighed in at 14 pounds 11 ounces and 24 inches long.

I'm sorry to make this so short but it's late and I am exhausted plus I know I have a full day of running around and unpacking things.

Have a great night everyone!!
