A New Stocking

It is Thursday so that mean after tomorrow I can hide the keys to "Mom's Taxi" and relax! I have been stitching but I can't share pictures yet. I started stitching one project and about halfway through I realized I had a BIG mistake. I had stitched this particular piece 1/1 so it just got tossed. I do not have the patience to try and frog out 1/1 this week! It actually turned out to be a good thing because I found another pattern (2/2 this time!) that I stitched up and finished yesterday for a blog gift. Now all I have is one blog gift left to finish and then I can mail them out.:)

I did manage a new start last night. I started working on my stocking.:) It is called Snowman & Friends. I didn't get far enough along last night to take a picture. It is the stocking in the center.:)

Mac is finally pre-registered at the hospital and is all ready for his surgery next Friday. He is supposed to have his surgery done at 10:00 AM so if all goes right Mac won't have to spend the night in the hospital. Dr. L seems to think Mac will be able to go back to school in 3-5 days. Mac will be on restrictions for a couple of months after the surgery. He won't be able to get his ear wet for a couple of months afterwards. Swimming is completely out for this summer already. He won't be able to participate in PE because of the possibility of sweat running in his ear and can't go outside on hot or humid days. I definitely foresee a cranky boy this summer!

As for my pregnancy, everything is going great so far. My first 3 pregnancies I had morning sickness from even before I officially found out I was pregnant right up to the delivery room! This one I have had a few waves of nausea but nothing like before. Believe I am not complaining one bit.:)

I want to thank everyone who has left me comments. I really appreciate them.:)

Have a great day!

I see you've got an affection for Christmas even though we've barely entered spring too! That makes me feel a little more justified in my recent purchase - I'm not alone! I hope Mac has a quick and easy recovery. And it's good to hear that you have no complaints in this pregnancy :)

Wow I just love your book of stockings. There seem to be lots of lovely designs for them in the states but we dont see much over here.

Hope everything goes well for your little boys operation.

Poor Mac! It sounds like he may well have a miserable summer. Maybe you can get him hooked on stitching so he won't mind staying inside?

I can't wait to see your progress on the stocking Dawn.

Good luck for Mac's surgery.

Oh my goodness! How far behind am I to not know you are pregnant?? Congrats to you and yours and hoping all is well. Morning sickness is a good sign. It is caused by the same hormone that helps stop you miscarrying so I am told. Big hugs. xx

Glad to hear you're feeling good. Do you have a due date? Maybe you already posted it and I somehow missed it.

I see a summer of movies in your future. You both can enjoy the air conditioned theater.

The stocking is going to be adorable. Do you have someone in mind for it?

The snowman stocking looks like it will be very cute. Sorry the frog came to visit. Frogging is bad enough, but one over one is just awful. Glad that finding a different pattern you liked helped a little. Hope everything goes well for Mac's surgery. With all those restrictions though I'll bet it will be a long summer.
