Trip to the LNS

It is another hot day. It doesn't look like it is going to cool down anytime soon either. This morning when we drove by Allie's school the temperature read 101 degrees at 10:30 am! I don't even want to know the heat index.

Even with it so hot I made it to the LNS. I was a good girl and only bought 3 new patterns and some DMC floss. I got 2 Halloween designs. One is from Lizzie Kate and the other is from Angel Stitchin. Both are cute but I can't show the exact ones since I will be using them in the Halloween exchanges on the EPBB and SBEBB. The last pattern I got is a needle roll design from Full Circle Designs. I might just make this one for myself!

What I can show you is the pattern that I ordered today for myself. :) I seen this one and fell in love instantly. No big surprise since I am a November baby. I can't wait to get started on her!

As for tonight, I am not sure now what I am going to work on. I have been doing so well with ATC that I almost want to put him away on a good note not when the frogs have visited. I am sure I will find something stitch on later. :) Although, before I can do that I have to cook dinner for us tonight. It has been so hot lately that I haven't been doing a lot of cooking. We have been eating a lot of sandwiches. What a terrible mom/wife I have been. So for a nice surprise for Mike I am making Pepper Steak and rice. Yumm!!

I hope everyone has a quiet and relaxing evening.

What a pretty design! Sounds like a nice trip to the LNS.

It's been crazy hot here, too. It's 83 today and it feels positively cool. :P

sorry about the hot weather...I don't like summer at all, I prefer autumn or spring when it's not too hot not too cold

I'm so glad you had a nice outing at your LNS. You deserve it. The meal sounds scrumptious. Lucky Mike.

It is hard to get thrilled about cooking with triple-digit temps. Pepper steak sounds good.

I go back to cooking tomorrow night.

Pretty choice! I can't wait to see what you stitch up for the exchanges. I am in both groups too and have made my firm decisions - can't wait!

She's going to be lovely done up, the flowers are so bright and pretty. Have fun with the Halloween designs too, it will be fun seeing what they are when you can post them. As to ATC, seems like you're on a roll with it now and enjoying it, I'd go with sticking with it a bit longer unless you have another project that is really calling to you.
