Introducing......

Megan Renee made her appearance into the world yesterday at 1:09 PM weighing 3 pounds even and measuring 15 1/2 inches long. She is tiny but awfully cute in my opinion. :D

She is doing fantastic so far! She didn't have to be put on a ventilator and is only using a little bit of oxygen at this time.

Megan did have to be transferred to another hospital that is better equipped to handle preemies so I haven't gotten to see much of her other than right after birth. Hopefully I will be released soon and I can go and and see my beautiful little girl soon.

I would like to thank each and everyone for all their prayers and support during these past few months. I can't express how much it really means to me!!! Thank you so very much for caring about Megan!
I could go on for hours about Megan but the painkillers have kicked in and my thoughts are starting to get a little cloudy...okay a lot cloudy....lol. I just want to say Thank You!!
Have a super wonderful day!!!

Not So Good News

Now for the non-stitching news.....I had another ultrasound done yesterday to measure the Little One's growth and no big surprise that she is still measuring small for her age. She is measuring in the 12th percentile where as the Dr would like to see her at about 50th percentile. She weighs just about 3 pounds 5 ounces....not close to the 4 pounds as the Dr was hoping she weighed.

After the ultrasound I was ushered into another room to be hooked up to the fetal monitor. Then the nurse says Dr S (Dr. H was in surgery at the hospital) will be in shortly to speak with you about the ultrasound. I got a knot the size of Texas in my stomach. I just knew he wasn't going to have good news for us. I was right, the news wasn't good. Apparently the blood flow in the cord is not doing good. Every time her little heart beats the blood flow temporarily stops which isn't good. So I was given a shot of steroids to help mature her lungs and then I was sent home until Dr. S could confer with Dr. H to see how to proceed from this point. A few hours later I get a phone call from Dr. H telling me to grab my suitcase and head to the hospital to be admitted.

After I got hooked up to the fetal monitor Dr. H came in and spoke to us about the situation. It will be better for the Little One to be delivered as soon as possible. Dr. H did want to get one more round of steroid shots in before delivery so it looks like tomorrow morning we will finally get to meet her. On one hand I am terribly excited to meet her but on the other hand I have a knot the size of Texas worrying that something will go wrong. *sigh* The next 24 hours will go by extremely slow!

Dr. H is pretty confident that she will do fine once she it out of the womb. I will be 33 weeks along so hopefully she will only have to spend a couple of weeks to a month in the NICU. At least I have been down this road before so I kind of know what to expect.

I will post more as I know more. Plus I am kind of tired right now...you know how much those nurses actually let you sleep when your supposed to!

More Finishes

Like I said, I have been busy on my stitching stuff the past few weeks.:) Here is Pumpkin Pete finished into a flatfold.

And I finally did something with Spring Kitty Paw! I used a wooden box and painted it purple for a little gift type box. I ended up having to put an extra coat of paint on the box so I wasn't exactly happy with how the color turned out but it's not really that bad.

Lastly, here is my progress on my SAL with Renee.

2 WIPS Finished

Oh I have so much to share today! First of all let's get the stitching pictures out of the way. :) As you remember I was working on the Little One's stocking and I finished it all but the name.

I just LOVE how it turned out! I am sure it will even look better once we have a name for the top of the stocking. LOL

Here is the other beauty I finished. :)

I have to confess the magnolia flowers are simply stunning to me.

We Are Fine

I hope everyone is doing fine! I want to thank everyone for their concerns on me being absent. I am doing just fine or the best I can at 32 1/2 weeks pregnant! LOL As for the pregnancy everything seems to be going fine. The little one is still measuring small for her age but the doctor thinks that it is just genetics. As of last week, Dr. H guesstimates that she weighs close to 4 pounds. I don't think she is quite that big but I would be thrilled if she is. I am now seeing Dr. H once a week until she is born. It is hard to believe that in a little over 5 weeks she will be here! I am so excited to meet her!

As for stitching, I have actually gotten a lot accomplished the past few weeks! I have finished Winter Fun on Ice stocking (all but the name) AND last night I finished Unicorn! I officially only have one WIP left to finish...Topaz Fairie. I have been working on what I can on her wings but that won't last much longer. I guess that means a new start for me in the next few days. :)

I'm sorry this is such a short post but I wanted to let everyone know the Little One and I are doing just fine. We are just taking it easy till the big day. :)

Happy Stitching to all!

Getting Closer

Here's today's progress on the little one's stocking. :) I am about 2/3 done with it!

I just want to let everyone know that I might not be posting much over the next couple of days. There isn't anything wrong just some things that require my attention more than blogging right now.

Until next time....Happy stitching!

2 Finishes in One Day

I had a pretty productive day today. :) This morning I finished Veronica's 12 Days of Christmas RR. I stitched the 11 Pipers Piping square. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I even was able to make a quick floss run and get all but one color I needed. Of course, that one color (DMC 3860) is the one I need for Topaz! They weren't just out of it either, there was no slot for it at all! At least I got the Kreiniks for Unicorn so I can work on that one and Winter Fun this week.

Since I had the floss I needed to finish Pumpkin Pete I decided to go ahead and just do that. I really love this design! I will be stitching it's companion piece called Stanley sometime soon. It has a snowman design so I think I will wait till the weather starts turning just a tad bit cooler.

Have a great night!

Winter Fun On Ice

I had another good check up with Dr. H yesterday. I even put 2 pounds on this time. Yay! The worst of the visit was having some blood drawn. I have to have my blood checked for clotting problems at every visit. I go back in 2 weeks for another check up and an ultrasound to measure the little one's growth/weight. After that I will be seeing the doctor every week until the little one arrives.

With a good report from Dr. H yesterday I was happy to work on the little one's stocking. I'm going to wait until the little one actually gets here before I add her name to the stocking.

Happy Stitching!

Running Out of Floss

I started out yesterday stitching on Topaz but as soon as I moved on to start the 4th wing I realized I was out of some brown floss I needed for the wing. That was okay I reasoned because I could work on Unicorn. It wasn't long after I started working on the mane on page 2 when I ran out of Kreinik I'm using in the mane! Grrrr!!! I gave it one more shot and worked on the Unicorn's body but I could see I was going to run out of DMC 762. I guess I really need to make a floss run soon or I won't be able to stitch anything! LOL

It looks like it should be a pretty calm day for me. It is supposed to start raining later which always means good stitching time for me....or a nap!

September Already

I can't believe it is September already! That means Fall is almost here. :) That also means the parade of birthdays and holidays begins for me. From now until after Valentine's Day we have a birthday or holiday (some months both!) every single month. I hope I can find some time to breathe!

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day for me. I worked on my Summer's Magic SAL with Renee. I wasn't sure if she was going to be able to work on SM this week so I only stitched for a couple of hours. I noticed on my fabric that my hoop has left some marks and I need to wash the piece. This always happens to me. I think it is because I have to have my fabric tight in the hoop to stitch. I mean so tight you could bounce a quarter off of it! Does this happen to anyone else?

After I put SM away, I decided to start on Veronica's RR. I only got to stitch on it for about an hour before I had to put it away and go to sleep. It's funny how one minute I am not tired and the next minute I can barely keep my eyes open with this pregnancy. Anyways, I didn't get much stitched so no picture of it yet.

Happy Stitching!
