I have decided that since the SBEBB will be closing down soon that I will not be participating in any more exchanged for this year. My last exchange will be the Valentine exchange. After looking back through the year of what I did finish in comparison to what I kept and the numbers were quite low for me. I have so many things that I really want to stitch for me that I am going to spend this year spoiling myself with my finishes. Exchanging is fun but right now I just want to stitch for me!
Kim-The colors in Topaz's dress are DMC 3078, White, 318, and 415. I agree with you, the photo on the pattern makes the yellow look really bright but it isn't that way in real life.
Happy Stitching!

Oh, you made great progress on ES. It's really coming alive!
I think you'll enjoy stitching for yourself. That's a good goal for this year.
You've finished quite a bit on the Egyptian piece.
What is SBEBB?
i think the boards shutting have made a lot of people realise that they dont stitch enough for themselves!
You have made super progress on this already Dawn!
great progress!!!
Wonderful progress on ES. I know what you mean about exchanges and it's the same for me even though I did stitch a few pieces for me in 2007. My last exchanges will be the winter and spring rounds for the seasonal exchange.
Great progress on ES.
I think the SBEBB was too much of a good thing and we were spoiled by the efficiency of Becky and the other mods. :)
A very good progress on ES.
Your Egyptian Sampler looks great. Nice work.
Happy 2008 ;)
Dawn Egyptian Sampler is looking wonderful - I can see how much you are enjoying working on it!
It looks wonderful Dawn! I can what you mean though by the backstitching. Great idea to do as you go along.
A few years ago I used to be in a LOT of exchanges. Then I got to thinking that if I just stitched pieces I enjoyed for myself, in my own time, I'd still be stitching but wouldn't have the pressure of deadlines or the worry that the intended person would/wouldn't like what I'd stitched.
So much happier now without the pressure.
I can still stitch for gifts and RAK's though, so it's all worked out well in the end. :)
