My week is not off to a good start. I had trouble sleeping again last night. It was well after 3 am before I fell asleep and when I did it wasn't a good sleep. I kept jolting myself awake with the feeling that I was falling. Then around 6 AM I woke up to Mike yelling because I had just kicked him in my sleep. Ooops! According to Mike I have been kicking him in my sleep for the past couple of nights. What is worse is we have a California King pillow top bed so it's not like we have a small bed! I must be tossing a turning something bad. For Mike's safety I might end up sleeping on the couch tonight...lol.
Lack of sleep also doesn't help in the stitching area either! I sat down with ATC and stitched for about 20 minutes before I realized I was off by a stitch. *Sigh* Rip, Rip, Restitch! I fixed that area and then moved on to another color and stitched for a little bit. The whole time I kept thinking that it didn't look quite right. It wasn't. I had used a wrong color in a blend. I ripped it out but I didn't attempt to try again. I just put everything in the bag for next week. For future reference to myself...don't work on TW with lack of sleep!
I did work on this freebie last night. I finished the stitching last night but I finished it into a fob this morning. This one Allie is keeping because I used it to show her how to stitch a biscornu together. Which she asked me last night if she could finishing sewing her gauchos. I feel bad as I had to tell her no today because with lack of sleep on my part I don't think I could handle another ER visit. Maybe tomorrow :)
FIL stopped by today his daily visit. Apparently he has a stray puppy that he has took in and now wants us to take it! He is trying to use the guilt trip saying it is for the grandkids. That is all I need is another fur baby! I love animals but I have 4 kids (including Mike..lol), 2 cats, and one dog. I do not need another pet!
Have a nice day!

You are right.
Lack of sleep + stitching on a TW = ripping out for sure.
Hope you sleep better tonight.
Dawn, sorry to hear about your lack of restful sleep. I had that problem for ~ 6 months because I had thoughts running in circles inside my brain. I was afraid I was going to forget something important. A friend recommended David Allen's book Getting Things Done and that was me! So now I jot down all those thoughts in my head so I can process them later. I sleep so much better...now to get through those hot flushes!!!!
Take care!
I'm sorry to hear you had a rough night!! Hope you sleep better tonight.
The biscornu is very cute!
My husband gets quite restless if he takes an Ambien. But if he doesn't take one, he rarely sleeps more than a couple hours at a time. He has sleep apnea, but won't use his machine. I have been on a bad sleep schedule -- partly due to jet lag and partly due to a cold that wakes me up in the middle of the night coughing. Luckily, though I have a ton of projects that I am working on, most of them can be done in daylight or nighttime. I've been sleeping when I am tired (no matter the time) and working when I am awake.
You might try some of the tricks that work for me -- a hot bath before bed (relaxing), Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea (chamomile), ibuprophen (sometimes a small, unnoticeable ache will wake you up inconveniently). Hope you get back to your regular sleep schedule.
Hold out for NO MORE PETS. You have enough to take care of now.
Hope that everything's okay. Are you anxious about something? That might be why you're having problems sleeping. Hope you get some sleep.

Love your Biscornu and sorry about the sleep problems. Notice it's 5:10 a.m. and I'm still awake. I've had insomnia since I was around 18 and I'm 35 now. I've tried everything and it doesn't help. I sleep better during the day and when I was working as a Nurse I worked night shift. I hope you get it straight soon, not sleeping isn't fun at all. Take care.
Lack of sleep makes things so hard as you're always tired. Especially stitching when you're that tired can be very nonproductive due to the potential frogging later. Sorry that it turned out that way for you and you had all that frogging and restitching to do. I hope you can get some good sleep soon so you'll feel more rested. Your bisconu turned out very cute.

The biscornu is so cute.
Hope you'll be able to get more rest the coming days.
Oh girl, I know exactly what you mean. I haven't been sleeping well, either. What a pain. I hope that you are well-rested soon! Great biscornu, BTW. Where did you get the freebie?
nice job on the fob -- sometimes I don't sleep well & I know what you are going thru.
No, sounds like another pet isn't what you need. But it is hard to resist those strays when they appear. Hope FIL found it a good home.
I hate it when I don't get enough sleep, makes coping with normal day to day much harder than it should be. Something that my DR told me to take when I was pregnant is Valerian. In Aust it is available in different strengths and is usually found where-ever you purchase vitamins and such. It is a natural product and is the root of a plant and acts as a muscle relaxant with no nasty after affects. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time!
The biscornu is lovely!
